Weekly Service Ministry
Because Westside Christian Church is a new church, we are in the “portable” stage of our life. That means we must set-up for services each week and then take everything down again when we are finished. With that in mind, we must concentrate on a few specific areas and execute them with excellence. The following ministry teams are essential to Westside’s ability to minister to our community each week. It is a great way to be involved at “ground zero”, meet and make new friends, and serve the church body and the community as they join us for worship. Perhaps you might consider lending yourself to assist and be part of one of the teams below.
Set-up Team
Set up stage for services. Volunteers unload stage/sound equipment from the trailer and set –up the staging and band for the Weekend service. Also run cables, plug in microphones and help with sound team. Set up signage and banners on the outside of the school building. Set up chairs for seating at the service.
Tear-down Team
Take down all staging and sound equipment after Weekend services and special events as needed. This involves wrapping cable, removing signs/banners, storing equipment and loading the equipment on the trailer. Take down and place chairs in storage area.
Trailer Team
If you have a truck with a hitch and are willing to help transport our trailers for Sunday services we would love to have you join our team. Let us know and we can schedule you into the rotation.
Refreshment Team
Our Refreshment Team loves to watch people gather around the table and enjoy the drinks and goodies that they make available each week. Coffees, tea, juice, water and various assorted goodies and fruits are the centerpiece for people to enjoy as they get acquainted and catch up on the week. If you enjoy food and people consider serving with us!
Service Décor Team
If you have an eye for design, this is a place you can help in the service. The décor Team keeps the service set-up, stage, ministry tables, and atmosphere pleasant and crisp. There are also holidays and special events that provide opportunities to bless those who attend with a great look.
