Nathan Cherry
Pastor - Children's Ministry
Nathan and Amy Cherry met at San Jose Christian College, now William Jessup University, and were married in July of 1997. Nathan graduated from SJCC in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth Ministry and Bible & Theology. Amy graduated in 1997 with her Associates Degree in Bible & Theology.
Nathan was born and raised in Eugene, OR where he grew up in the local church, played sports and was an active member of his youth group. Amy was born in Turlock, CA and grew up in the church, most of which was with her dad’s church plant. They have 2 boys, Zachery & Luke, and have been in ministry working in the areas of youth, children and sports for the past 12 years.
In their free time they enjoy going to garage sales, going on adventures as a family and reading. Amy enjoys making jewelry, cooking, participating in the local MOPS group, scrap booking and writing. Nathan enjoys kayaking, rock climbing, golfing, playing Fantasy Football with his buddies and reading a good book in his hammock.
Nathan is currently working on his Masters of Christian Leadership through Hope International Universities’ online program and joined the Westside staff in September of 2006.
