Josiah Gelsinger
Pastor - Youth Ministry
Josiah was born in Mountain View, CA, and grew up in Beaverton, Oregon. He left home to attend William Jessup University in 2004, and graduated in spring of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology. He received an athletic scholarship for soccer all 4 years of college, and still loves to play.
Josiah accepted Jesus as the center of his life when he was 6 years old. He has lived a life focused on God, and it is his goal to continually grow closer to God. He grew up serving in the youth ministry, on mission trips to Mexico, and on various outreaches in the community. He admired the individuals that dedicated their time to develop him into a strong Christian during his teenage years, and his goal is to turn around and bless others in the same way he has been blessed.
He has lived a life focused on God, and it is his goal to continually grow closer to God.
Josiah has a heart for the youth of today, and it is his life’s goal to serve God and others through youth ministry. He has helped out as a youth intern at a small church in Coloma, CA, for over 2 years during college, and has begun to understand his passion for youth. He is excited to work at Westside Christian Church, and looks forward to all the growth that God blesses him and the church with. Josiah has a passion for youth, and some other passions include reading, running, sports, spending time with people, and learning more about God.
